How long did it take you to get used to your cpap machine? Did you have to experiment with different masks or parts or settings? What helped you adjust to your treatment?

@Amaryllis Phillips Respironics Dreamwear Nasal Mask
I was like Goldilocks with my masks. Once I finally found one that worked, I’ve had no problems. If you’re not a mouth breather, I’d suggest one of the masks that just go up your nose or around your nose. I don’t remember the name, but I have one by Phillips where the hose is at the top of your head and I love it.

It took 3 weeks of wearing it at least 4 hours a day to get comfy. The hardest thing to get used to is if you partially break the seal, the air escaping can be loud, especially if you need a higher pressure when you’re asleep, and that can be enough to wake you up. But eventually your face muscles will remember where they need to be for the mask to stay on. 🤷 idk if that helps?
I’ve had a very difficult time adjusting to my CPAP machine. I am most comfortable with the ResMed AirTouch F20. I can’t get used to the headgear and having straps around my head for the mask. It’s weird.
