Hi there. Has anyone struggled with anything like this? For the past few weeks I’ve had strange bouts of almost like feeling like I’m not in real life. Like it feels like I’m just going through the motions and not actually living. I’m not really sure what’s going on and it is very frightening at times. It happens at random times but mostly when I wake up in the morning. It’s hard to explain but like sometimes I’ll have a conversation and then think about it 5 minutes later and I realize i wasn’t actually like in the conversation but just kinda speaking. I’m not sure if that’s makes sense or not. Or sometimes it just feels like I’m not really in life. I know this is a weird way to describe it but I honestly don’t really know how to describe it. If anyone has any similarities please let me know. Thank you

This happens to me all the time! I call it disassociation, but I’m not sure that’s the correct term. I can have these episodes for up to a half an hour. My doctors monitor them and separate them from my absence seizures (which are entirely different).

that’s the way I get too, it comes in it’s phases with me. It’s definitely depersonalization/derealization , it’s the scariest thing in the world and for me it causes panic attacks. I went through a good week in which every day of every second I felt like it but I’m slowly getting better now.
I feel this 100% it's not fun

This began to happen to me as well so i spoke to my therapist about it and he told me it is depeesonalization, I think that you also might be affected by this some ways that I try and get out of feeling this way are too distance myself from people and calm myself down
i think its Depersonalization, i sometimes go through it aswell its very odd, it feels like being inside of a dream
Or when I’m going into the store, sometimes it feels like everyone is staring at me or thinks I’m being weird
