I've noticed I've become increasingly anxious over food related "contamination". There was about a 2 week period where we had multiple undercooked foods in my home (chicken) and now I get excessive strings of anxiety whenever I cook, because I'm afraid of eating raw food. I have to check everything, micromanage my stovetop, and it's exhausting me. What do you think could help me manage/address this? I already have a lot of food avoidance problems with nearly all vegetables so I'm trying really hard not to let this get out of hand :(

This is a completely unconventional way that has been very controversial when I've mentioned it before. But the way I broke out of a lot of my food aversion issues is watching videos of how people eat around the world and seeing that things outside of my safe foods are not going to hurt me. In doing that since I was in my early teens I have got to the point I fairly regularly eat raw or rare meats including the "usda no no foods" such as poultry, pork, and organ meats. I also eat vegetables that i had previously had an issue with due to appearance. Obviously this has taken me a very long time (5+ yrs) to get to this point but it's definitely possible.
@dollipop You know what I'm gonna try that!! That seems like a very gentle way to introduce foods into my life and I really like it, and I'm very glad it worked so well for you :D
