I found a new gyno who recently thinks I have endometriosis, and I think so, too. I found this out last week and was put on a Depo-Provera inject and Citalopram. Apart from exercising and trying to eat right, I'm not sure what I can do to help my symptoms. Any thoughts?

Been on depo for 4 years and although it absolutely sucked to bleed about a liner or two a day for 6-7 months I can say it was well worth it. Still on it and it significantly improves my quality of life. Don’t know what I would do without it and now I spot about 3 times a year

@Abbe Really? I was told I couldn't be on it for more than 2 years 🫢 I haven't started spotting yet, but I literally took my first shot a week ago so anything could happen

@Cashmoneyy I’ve been on it since I was 17 and now I’m 21…. So I’m not really sure why they told you 2 years? I know some primary care doctors will say only 2ish years because they aren’t obgyn and get concerned about lawsuits because they cannot specialize in any region of care besides primary. What state are you in?

Excision surgery and pelvic floor therapy are great options for symptoms. You can also try norethindrone, I do well on depo too but norethindrone is lower dose so it’s a bit safer long term
