I've been feelin a bit down ever since i realized that my depression is chronic. I've been diagnosed with MDD since i was a little boy, and its been rough as i come to the realization that its never going to be cured and I'm always going to think, feel, and act different than all of my mentally healthy peers. any tips for this hopelessness??

      One of the best ways to deal with the weight of the diagnosis? Don't deal with it alone! ^^ I love art and so did Vincent van gogh he was also mentally ill, find someone you see yourself in and appreciate that person, appreciate yourself

      I combat my depression by practicing positive thinking and finding ways to validate my existence. I donate to charity campaigns when I can, even if I can only spare $5. I acknowledge that negative events don't last forever. Some skills taught in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may help and can be found online without guidance from a therapist if you can't access one.
