So I finally got a rollator and it makes it so much easier to walk and also to store things and sit. But sadly my fibro still acts up lol. I went out for a walk and to go shopping close to my home and had rested in between stops but even with rest the pain still comes back worse. My calf’s down to my ankles hurt so much and continually holding onto the rollator to walk made my wrists hurt. It’s like I can never escape the pain

@Alexa123 I don’t really agree with that. I think the stress of your situation didn’t help and you simply were in fight or flight mode when that happened. I have fibromyalgia and everybody’s condition affects them a little differently. I am disabled so it doesn’t help to act like the pain isn’t there. Because it is. And some days are worse and some are better. But I know that the rollator though it is helpful to some extent still due to my other foot issues it still hurts me a lot. So no the solution doesn’t lie in me. I can’t wish away my conditions

I use a rollator but on days where my legs and hips hurt really bad and I have extreme weakness I have to use my wheelchair or just not leave the house

I use a wheelchair on days where it hurts too much to walk! LIFE SAVER I swear. after a little while my arms start to get a little bit sore but it's so much better than the pain of my entire body when I'm walking on flare days. if you have the money or good insurance you should defo think about a wheelchair for those difficult days. I got mine used for about $125, so as long as you don't mind one that's a little beat up but still in good condition they don't HAVE to be thousands.

I think the solution lies in you. As long as you give pain space in your life, it will appear and hurt more. I had a time when I was in so much pain and one day I had to take my little son to the hospital because he was burned by boiling oil. Only after the whole case calmed down did I notice that the pain wasn't there as long as I was busy with something else. Since that story, I understand that thoughts have a lot of power and I try to fill my day and keep myself busy in order to deal with the pain as little as possible. The psychological treatment I undergo also helps me a lot. Have you ever tried such a treatment?
