I’m having so much anxiety about this new guy that I’m seeing. He seems so genuine, and nothing is giving me red flags so far… but every guy I’ve seen over the last couple of years has done something to use or take advantage of me, and I just feel so broken. I want to let my guard down with him, but I can’t figure out how? I’m just so afraid of being hurt again.

Hey that's seems like metoo I thought I was the only one like this I did struggle with My ex with all those paranoid feelings and emotions but you should try to stay positive I do think it's part of us being let down as well so heal yourself by meditation positivity and exercise and ear clean and see the difference with your mindset ✨️ 😊 I struggle too to let go after because of my thoughts so I always remember the negatives things about them when I want to let go and remember the positive things about the person that I want to stay with I hope that can help too plus try sleeping early and waking up early to the sunrise 🌅 to reflect that's how we think straight

This may be a really generic answer, but therapy. It really helps you to heal from all the relationship trauma and for you learn how to trust and be okay again. If you don't address this as well, there is a possibility to self-sabotage this perfectly fine relationship and it may crash and burn. It all stems down to healing your trauma.

I know this feeling very very well and I've been so scared of even talking to people that I fear I'm loosing my ability to chat to another guy without my fears getting to me

A: It's understandable to feel anxious and afraid of being hurt again, especially after past negative experiences. Communication is key in building trust and maintaining a healthy relationship. Share your feelings and concerns with the new guy, and try to focus on the positive aspects of the relationship. Remember that every person is different, and it's important not to let past experiences dictate your current relationship.
