M currently trying to better my social anxiety. I’ve suffered from it since the 7th grade and I’m now 18 and it has only gotten worse. Push came to shove and I finally got an official diagnosis after constantly telling my mom to get one. Better late than never! Anyway, I’ve decided that I don’t want to be this way anymore, I don’t want to live in fear and I’d like to be able to go out without having anxiety attacks or making everything awkward. And I want to be able to conversate with people and note mute myself out of fear. I’d like support in exposure therapy and advice. Tomorrow I’m going to a distro with like minded people and I need support. I’ve been holding this off for a long time but I’m ready to get moving. Going outside is scary, socializing and working with people is even scarier. So if there’s someone who would like to help and we could help each other (: Ps. I am very introverted and will always be, I’m not looking to be loud and outgoing, I just want to leave the fear behind me. :3
