I have been sober for 76 days today. yesterday my boyfriend came home really high looking and it grossed me out. and I cried when he drank bc I felt left out. but like, I know I'm doing the right thing for myself and not everyone had the problems I have. it just really grossed me out. we've been together for over a year and I live with him and his family.

First of all, congratulations. That's a big deal and I hope you are proud of yourself! And like an earlier response said, you have EVERY right to feel the way you're feeling.

You have every right to feel that way. I would certainly feel disrespected as you’ve been working so hard to do better for yourself and it’s like..rule number one to not bring drugs or alcohol around someone who’s recovering. Obviously, especially with alcohol, it’s ALWAYS available and very weirdly socially acceptable. Have you sat down and tried to talk to him about it? Or his family, if you’re comfortable and open with them? I think that’s an important step and if things still don’t change you should consider if the relationship is healthy for you. You gotta look out for yourself at the end of the day and if he truly cares for your well-being and loves you, he would appreciate you confronting him (even though you really shouldn’t have to in my opinion) and would respect your wishes. Best of luck darling

Good for you. I’m still tackling remission but mostly there. It’s harder when it’s not just you. As for me, i have an LDR so i can’t motivate my woman to stop. This world is freaky. Booze kills. Stop or dont. Two choices. Live or die sad. Boom ☮️
