Hello, I'm 36 in chronic pain but still need to function enough to do basic things. Like shopping, cleaning etc any tips or little secrets you've found work would be awesome.

I do things in 5 min intervals. As my back gives out or goes into spasm. Learn to take it slow it's not a race

I found an exercise which really helps me, it's called Cobra strech, try Google it, it's a life changer for me

I just take it slow. Do my laundry often, so I don't have much to lift. I keep my house very clean as I attend to things right away, so it doesn't build up. You just don't want to overwhelm yourself. Also, learn to accept help. That's a hard one for me. But when friends or neighbors offer to do something for me, I say yes!

Honestly I'm to the point I might just have to do the pickup for my shopping. I'm in the same boat with cooking and cleaning. I'm in physical therapy right now. I'm disabled I can't work. Can't sit stand for to long. Can't drive far. I'm glad you're able to still work some. And go on walks

I've been using the pickup option for shopping. You don't have to get out of the car. Ceiling fans are always off(causes more pain). I do my cleaning in 10 minute increments. I don't cook huge meals anymore (being on my feet for too long causes more pain). I can't do most exercises anymore, so i go for walks every couple days. I use Epsom salt in my bath. The only kind of work I've been able to do is Independent contracting with Uber, Instacart and Door dash.
