Hi. I started having a level 8 or 9 pain last week. My Dr. prescribed muscle relaxers for a back issue and he said the pain I'm feeling now (feels like really bad pleurisy pain) is probably related to my back issue. I have been on a lot of antibiotics because I'm T1D and get infections easily. An allergist I saw stated that I'm imagining that antibiotics help and I was probably getting better on my own. I have waited as long as a month and continue to get worse until I get antibiotics. So now, my Dr. dosen't want to give me an antibiotic. Basically, no one will help me and I am in so much pain and it is probably pleurisy related to an infection.

I don’t know if this will help but I was so sick. I had or still have pleurisy pains when I cough or sneeze But I ended up with pneumonia and a collapsed lung that is all better now! The dr. gave me antibiotics and a really good Rx and I am trying to remember the name! It was a very strong ibu

Thank you. My issue is...I saw an allergist that said that I'm imagining that antibiotics work for these infections and now my PCP won't give me one.

Mine always gives me a steroid shot and puts me on a steroid pack for a few days. That seems to be the only thing that helps. It takes a little while to take effect. I’ve had pleurisy/bronchitis 14 times since pandemic started because I had Covid that February of 2020 and the doctors didn’t know then what it was. They thought at first that I was having a heart attack🤦🏼‍♀️. They treated it like pleurisy because of my X-rays. But now realize, that wasn’t the case. I’ve had Covid again in February of 2021. My lungs are like, please I need a break.

I'm so sorry. I hope you feel better soon. I can't take steroids because I have Type 1 Diabetes.
