I was told no Red meat , seafood, high sugar products, quit smoking, and exercise regularly. I've recently been diagnosed also. So far I've had two serious attacks. The first lasted a month. This last one , a few days. Thru gave me Vicodin, and ibuprofen 800, and naproxen.

Any type of steroid they prescribe wrap the joint in heated wrap and sweat it out seems to work as a fast way to break it up 24hours and it's gone for me and my foot was so big they had to put me in a walking cast because it would not fit in a shoe the issue is they don't like handing out steroids
