I know coffee is supposed to help with ADHD but has anyone found that it actually doesn't? Like it instead makes you much more hyperactive and inattentive? I recently started drinking matcha, has anyone found that it helps? I think it's helping me but I want to know if it helps anyone else 😅

    All coffee does for me is make me super sleepy and super anxious. And it messes with my stomach. Huge bummer, cause I love coffee. Never tried matcha though

    Yeah I get that, I meant to also write if it makes people groggy, restless, or anxious as well but forgot 😅

    Coffee has always made me more hyper and upset my stomach. I got addicted to monster energy drinks and they actually make me tired and anxious but more attentive. Don’t know why the source of the caffeine changes the effect it has on me

    I get that, energy drink always make me super anxious and jittery. Soda with caffeine (like Mt. Dew) doesn't do much but it makes it impossible to go to sleep if I drink it at night. And coffee usually makes me kinda groggy. Matcha usually helps me wake up but doesn't give me the energy I need to get through the day. So far, matcha and Mt. Dew have helped the most but matcha is the healthier of the two lol

    I know nothing about this basically but couldnt that mean you have something else, not adhd? Like other things that overlap with it, like autism, ocd, etc

    Coffee makes me super hyper. However, I’m not sure how it affects my attentiveness. If anything it just makes me more and more hyper and excitable. It depends on the person!

    Acacia that would be more likely if royalty was talking about caffeine and stimulants in general. I very obviously have adhd and most stimulants and energy drinks work for me but coffee specifically does not

    coffee doesn't affect me at all. neither do energy drinks or strong teas. I think it just depends on the person

    Matcha gives me a little energy boost. Coffee makes me sleepy and anxious for sure

    A lot of coffee makes me more hyper and anxious, therefore I limit myself to 3 cups of coffee a day and add more tea when I want something hot.
