So I want to ask my psychologist about getting an autism diagnosis. From all the self tests I’ve done and reading up about it, I feel like I have it. I’m scared to bring it up, though. Any tips?

Write down what you believe points towards a diagnosis of autism. Whenever someone asks me, I blank HARD. Things to include could be tests you’ve taken, actions and behaviors that may align, and other things of note. I hope it goes smoothly!! :)

C-PTSD and ADHD have overlapping symptoms with autism. I was in the same boat til I learned that. Also dissociation and derealization mimics some autistic symptoms in myself.

@jipperoni agreed! I ended up with this ridiculously long document that was organized and detailed and gave reasons why I included each point… Turns out that was very autistic of me to do, haha. But it’s helpful regardless! I think it’s good to do when you’re talking about anything that makes you nervous or stressed, etc.
