I believe my anemia came from my birth control (depo provera, which is known to deplete blood cells and calcium), has anyone else had a similar experience?

I bleed so much during my periods! They're heavier than ever and then I developed anemia! So I'm definitely convinced periods can cause it. I'm on birth control too, I need to get on a different one I think

Do you suffer from vaginal bleeding, or do your periods last long?

Has it started since you started taking the pill? As far as I know, contraceptives like depo provera don't cause blood cell depletion. Are you looking for other reasons for your anemia?
