I finally had my first endometriosis appointment yesterday (my first laparoscopy was almost a year ago now) and I was really anxious to go. They said that the hospital where I got my laparoscopy done told me the wrong things because at first they said they found subtle endometriosis and I was stage 1, but my biopsy came back as stage 2-3 severe endometriosis deep and infiltrating. And they told me yesterday that they must have told me the wrong information because the surgeon can tell how bad it is from laparoscopy not from biopsy so they can’t just change my results like that. I never even had a follow up appointment from them so they’ve increased my stress and anxiety for nothing. And because I have so many different symptoms and I’m in so much pain but my endo is subtle he said yesterday that there must be something else going on and I’m going to be having an MRI to look for things like adenomyosis so now I’m scared about that.

My nook surgeon told me that the stage of endo you have doesn't determine the amount of pain/infertility. He said some of his patients with stage 4 only have minor cramps and have successfully had several children with no issue and then some of his other patients have stage 1 and are infertile and in agonizing pain

@Birdies I’ve heard that too, so I’m not sure why he thinks it must be something else. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what comes up in the scan, the worry is stressing me out a lot though 🥲💕

That’s really hard I’m sorry you’re going through this! It sounds like you found a good doctor now, hopefully they can help you more! Adeno is definitely scary, keep us posted! I hope that this doctor is better! Do they think there’s still some endo left over? Especially since your pain isn’t better. Was it an excision or ablation? Sorry for all of the questions! No pressure to answer :)

@Belugabear thank you, I really hope so. Of course I will keep you updated ☺️💕 I’m not sure, hopefully I find out in my scan, one side was an excision and the other side was burnt off and I’m not sure why. They think it’s not endo and it’s something else but I’m not sure, I don’t trust the surgeon that did my laparoscopy anymore so for all I know they missed a bunch of endo.

@BrokenPotato that stinks I’m sorry, I had an ablation with a crappy surgeon followed by an excision with a great one. Are you seeing a Nook doctor now?
