I have Ehlers Danlos and I just dislocated my knee and had a really hard fall. My entire left side is purple and bruised. I’m so embarrassed and I’m going to the beach tmrw so everyone is going to see the bruises all the way from my kneecap to my rib cage. It wraps around my front to my back and is super painful.
Have you gone to the doctor? Knee dislocations can be really dangerous! Follow up questions, did it pop back in right away? I have EDS as well and my knee usually goes back in right away
sometimes they go back in and sometimes I have to put them in. My knees come out all the time though and the doctors never say anything about it being dangerous please let me know about that!
I saw it briefly and I'm not doctor so take what i say with a grain of salt. However, I think i saw somewhere where if your kneecap doesn't go in right. It could cut off blood flow and lead to bad things happening.
that sucks im sorry, of you can try to get a heating pad/ice pack(whichever works best) and some pain medication. if you can try to rest until you go to the beach or see if you can skip it
