My fasting bs is high. the night prior it's normal range. What can be a good night snack.? when should I take it?

      At the doctor yesterday my a1c was too high to be read on the finger stick test. Have to go back today for blood draw since I was dehydrated. I am quite worried šŸ˜„

        @CJ1972 sorry to hear that, CJ. The important thing is that you and your doctor are aware of it and trying to get it down. If your insurance will cover it, ask about a continuous glucose monitor... it checks your sugar every couple of minutes with the finger sticks. This provided me with really solid information about how my body reacts to different foods and allowed me to respond quickly with adjustments to medication dosages. If your sugar has been high, that can lead to the dehydration you mentioned as your body is trying to remove the sugar through the kidneys. This is why we feel thirsty when our sugars are up. Take a breathe, know you can do this, keep up with your care providers, and know there are people here for you.

      I take mines in the morning before breakfast then again in the afternoon and again before time. That way I can tell my doctor at what times it gets too high or when it's too low. Then the doctor can make adjustments
