Things I have done recently which have helped me personally: - Scheduling time for things that make me smile like Youtube, setting time aside to ensure I have that relaxing - Making playlists based off of mood. I have a folder in my spotify called “medicine cabinet” which has playlists which has music that encourages how I WANT to feel. Listening to music about depression can make you feel seen, but make sure you’re manifesting where you want to be through the music you listen to as well. - Naps. Sleep is important, and if you can’t get it all in a straight 8 hour streak, then it’s okay to refuel with a power nap. - Asking for advice and space from family members or people I contact regularly. It is never bad to establish your needs, and you should encourage others to do the same. - Try something you wouldn’t normally try with a group of people that make you feel very comfortable. Or the opposite, try to hang out with new people in an environment you are very comfortable and familiar with. Trying new things or people as great, but I always need that sense of familiarity to feel safe. - Brush your teeth and take a hot shower, in no particular order. Even when I’m too depressed or exhausted to even stand in the shower, sitting in the warm running water may help you compose yourself.

I’ve been trying to work out everyday, sometimes I meditate or do yoga, really anything calming or distracting helps me.

I listen to things I find interesting, like audiobooks and podcasts about topics, or people whose voices calm me. Music too, but just quiet talking in the background somehow puts time into perspective

I like listening to music. It gets my mind off of things.
