well. today I wore what I thought was a cute skirt and a cute top to go out. and my husband gets all 'honey, can I ask you something and you won't get upset...' and the ask was 'do you think maybe you should take a pregnancy test?' we go out later, even though my symptoms tried to fuck me out of it, and I show up and our friend asks if I'm ok or if I'm sick. I tell him I'm alright, he asks again. I tell him it's just normal day to day stuff (my husband has shared about some of problems with him) and he said 'oh, you just look...' and he points to his face and I'm like 'nope, just my face!' (and I even put makeup on today bc I thouht it helped me look less tired 🙃 and thought I did a pretty good job 😂 f*ckin ay, y'all. stick a fork in me, I'm done.

These kind of comments about your appearance are simply cruel. I’ve been I’ll for over a decade, starting when I was a teen, and I’ve slowly and continuously gained weight the entire time, regardless of activity level or going to physical therapy. I also look exhausted much of the time because I am. I do still get certain kinds of comments, though not many from people who understand my situation, but as I’m less and less tolerant of them, I get fewer, and the people who actually care about me even the slightest bit have been happy to avoid making comments that are hurtful. I hope you know that this isn’t how you deserve to be spoken to. ❤️ You are worthy exactly the way you are, at this moment.

@aldrwytch I very much agree with this comment. OP you should know that those comments about your body, although well intentioned, you don't have to put up with. They can ask if you're okay without bringing up your looks. Also, you could always just feign onbliviousness to get them to see how rude their comments are.
(also I can't edit- sorry punctuation- but what I meant to say was 'my husband has shared about some of my health problems with him*' bc different times I've had to cancel, stay home, or leave early... And I'm also on VA disability and don't work so there's always that super fun conversation of "what do you do?" )

@Izzy94 lol he's generally very sweet and we'll intentioned... but, yeah. I have an IUD and took a pregnancy test just incase. And as I told him, I'm just gaining weight bc I'm sedentary and over eating lol
Oh sweetie! I've been there. Hugs!
@MakoLita thanks 💕
