Is there anyone who has perioral dermatitis and has found a way to treat/manage it without intense prescriptions (i.e. antibiotics, steroids, creams, etc.)? I've had this stupid dermatitis for about 5 years and can't find anything to help it.

I have had mild to severe dermatitis and dermatitis like breakouts from my head to my toes at different times and some were resistant to a lot. First off, I recommend trying L-Lysine the supplement every day for 10 days- either 500 IU 3X a day or 1000 IU 2X a day. L-Lysine also has a topical cream you buy near Carmen and other heftier chapsticks and the like. Next, if L-Lysine the topical cream isn’t your cup of tea, Exederm is the way to go. Even I have never had a problem using it, it either helped significantly, slightly or not at all- never worse. Once I had a dermatitis breakout (turns out I’m allergic to some toilet papers) in my lady parts- blistering, bleeding, indescribably miserable rash and after trying about a dozen or so things (Including diaper rash creams, I was stupid desperate) and Exederm was the only thing that helped. And holy cow did it help! The burning went away with every application, the intense itching in days and my skin was healed up by the end of the month.

Slice a potato (1 slice per spot) microwave potato until it's slightly hot, get yourself comfy, put potato slices over spots
