I love this app, so much community!! I was diagnosed last year too; I wasn't able to start coping until I became self-aware of my patterns and worked on a game-plan when I was feeling okay so when I started to experience bad symptoms, I had things to try and help. If you have friends or safe family, educating them is SO important and they may learn tools to aid you.

I had a full on identity crisis when I was diagnosed. Basically everything I felt like I'd grown up knowing about myself and who I was it seemed to be a symptom of the borderline, it took a while to process. Hello I haven't been diagnosed with BPD but I've been doing a lot of research on quiet borderline... I have found that I can relate to pretty much all of the symptoms but I also don't want to make excuses for myself and just blame a condition for my behaviour.... Do you ever feel like this too? :)

Some people with borderline personality disorder have found coping strategies such as DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), deep breathing, and seeking support from others who share similar experiences. They also try to find a calm headspace and ask themselves questions to understand their emotions better. However, coping mechanisms may vary for each individual.
