I close my eyes and try to take in my environment, remind myself that I am safe- just a little overwhelmed. I agree that water is a great go to. I like to take a shower or withdraw if Im able and listen to my favorite music

my routine is get under my weighted blanket, put on headphones (with calming music or no noise) and chew stuff and use fidgets! helps a lot. also drink some water, its very good for you!
