@KJWolf I found that cannabis made the tinnitus worse. But helped me to sleep. But don't touch the stuff no more.

Stress is a big one for me. If I’m stressed out the tinnitus gets worse. I listen to soundscapes on my calm app 👍

Hello , My Doctor from UCSF mine was due to "long term extreme stress ".... Its been 8 years now.... It has gotten better sometimes it is "OFF" for up to 4 to 5 days in a row😊 I notice the louder the T.V. the louder the ringing there is no drowning it out ! I play music my Oldies but Goodies all day it helps , I Smoke Weed ( all my Drs. Know this ) to help with the anxiety also helps me sleep . I have a bluetooth headband I wear at night ,(Amazon) I play , ocean waves with thunder rainstorm knocks me right out .... It can be pretty frustrating sometimes cause it has affected my hearing at first only when the ringing was on , but now even when its off , I have problem hearing when there's background noise .hard to concentrate sometimes 🤔 P.S. The extreme stress was over 4 years ago....

@Homegirl831 your could be hearing loss. The brain is looking for sound waves that’s not there. I’m no doctor but I hate this condition and something causes your brain to do this. There are plenty of people with no hearing loss suffer from tinnitus. So research help narrow down the causes of it.

@Homegirl831 My tinnitus also competes with TV. The more I raise tv sound, the louder tinnitus.

Honestly, all I really do is keep some kind of low level noise going constantly so I can't hear it most of the time

Have you tried cannabis? Re Blood pressure and barometric pressure, could make a connection since more health issues occur with variation from 30. I use to be able to hear my pulse in my left ear, yet doctors checked it; looked healthy.

Barometric pressure changes make for worse/better days. 30 is good.. If it changes to 29 or 31, "we have a problem, Houston" 🚀🤕😣 Side note: more heart attacks happen with a change in the barometer to 29 or 31. Personal anecdotal experience; my husband passed with bar.pressure lowering to 29, & after lil bit of mowing.

I had tinnitus for 3 years now. It is not always at the same intensity level. Sometimes I barely hear it and sometimes it is so loud that I can’t even concentrate. I made a few observations. Hopefully this information will help you. Position of my head when I sleep matters. Blood pressure level of that day matters. The higher BP, the louder tinnitus that day. Hair washing at a salon bowl with neck bent backwards position increases tinnitus. Wish you good luck!

@Pushky sounds like u have cervical or neck problem. Listen I’m checking this on myself now. If your top two neck vertebrae 1 and 2 are out of line u will have all kind of problems like tinnitus/ blood pressure / vertigo/ blurry vision. The list goes on. Look it up your sounds like what I have. I have tmj and neck problems. Worth a look

@Stuv I have neck problems too sometimes and vertigo and migraines which until several months ago I've never had.

@Stuv Hi Stuv! Thank you so much! I do have a lot of neck pain which progresses into one sided migraine. Because of the pain I can’t even sleep on my sides anymore. Only back sleeping is somewhat tolerable. I have all the symptoms you’ve mentioned. Every time I complain, doctors send me for X-rays and CT scans. Those come back normal. I am at my wits end. Don’t know what else to do. Meanwhile I live with all those symptoms and sleepless nights due to pain. Wish you much luck! Please keep us posted on your progress. Thank you for your help 🙏🏻

So far, no cure. I listen to music to keep my mind of it. There are therapy sessions to teach you to, basically, live with it. Sorry 😐
