This is something that's been on my mind for a long, long time, but I've never been strong enough to really ask after getting the answer from one psychiatrist. I've never been tested, never had any sort of analysis, or any of that. So I feel stupid and disrespectful even asking this. I have a friend group with a LOT of neurodivergent people, and all have told me that I am autistic. Or ADHD. But when I brought it up to my psychiatrist, she shut it down immediately. She said there was no possibility I was. I'm just confused and wanting opinions of others who've gone through this. I'm afab if that helps.

There’s a lot of self doubt that comes with being afab and undiagnosed or self-diagnosed neurodivergent. I’m diagnosed ADHD, and I’m currently struggling with suspicions that I may be autistic as well. At the end of the day, you know yourself best. Do your own research, talk to a different psychiatrist, talk to neurodivergent people. But don’t give up.
