How do you deal with constantly being told your chronic joint pain is just growing pains. It's irritating because the pain makes it hard for me to do every day things and even wakes me up. I'm 17 and it feels like my doctor and parents aren't listening. I just want answers

I’m 66 yo…had different chronic health issues than yours, doctored with conv. medicine for 30 years to get a autoimmune diagnosis but no relief from symptoms that forced me to retire early. Some are lucky to get a drug to stop the issues…was not my fortune! Drugs have their place… not one and only! I researched/tried alternatives and learned lots but still no relief…imprisoning me too my home. My pain was the fear of not finding bathrooms in time or to not having much food to eat anymore. I joined a private group and those protocols failed but was recommended to research the Medical Medium! My answers to my entire life of I health issues were answered! Our whole health system/medicine is not geared to heal chronic illness/disease as there is only drug relief, or gut/burn! Our food industry/health agencies have not give the distance to truly research how capable our God given body is to heal. The MM is not a scam…I’ve been scammed and this program is of truth! But hard truth to what causes your pain and more! So I’ll plant this seed and hopefully, as you are SO young, to research the Medical Medium. I now have my life back… not perfect yet as I started his protocols in 2019…I’m much older and much more to heal! His info may sound fake…unbelievable…but God created our body…not science. The science in force today has not grown leaps and bounds in finding answers for chronic disease/all disease as they do for trauma where the cause is known!!! Like burns, lacerations, falls, accidents, transplants!!! The MM is on Instagram, Facebook and on other medias plus has 7 books (library has them) and tons in internet yet! I’ve been at my health issues for years… this info is common sensed but hard work. Our mindset about foods makes it even harder…but cannot keep quite when I follow and chat with others of all ages in the same place as me…no answers… doing the protocols to heal…to end their misery. You are so young to get working on your pain…it won’t get better unless you find drugs to get relief… but in long run…cause other issues…as drugs are synthetic, the body does not recognize them causing side effects! Here’s a list about pain… ! https://www.medicalmedium.com/thyroid-healing-medical-medium/joint-pain

I’m only a year younger and struggle with the same thing— doctors are always telling me to do more physical therapy and then I wont be in any more pain, they even told me I should lay off the cane (which I did for 3 weeks and now my knees hurt). Unfortunately for situations like this, it seems like they only care when you’re on your death bed. Had 3 doctors call my hip pain: period pain (even when i didn’t even have it) and growing pains. I didn’t get diagnosed until 3 years after and my hips were in such bad shape they needed immediate surgery. It’s frustrating. Not all doctors seem to take anything you say into account, especially if you’re a minor/depend on parents. I wish there was more I could tell you but it’s difficult since I’m in the same position right now. All I can say is good luck and that I hope something changes soon <3

I brought my daughter to the Dr for knee pain and we ended up having her tested for Lyme disease and even though we hadn't pulled a tick off she tested positive. We had to really fight to get the test done but im so glad we did because she tested positive and had we not who knows how long it would have gone undiagnosed!

You can’t really replace your parents, but definitely get a new doctor. My doctor said that some joint pains could be a sign of kidney stones or something more severe. For your doctor to ignore your concerns is not ok.

@D3stiny getting a new doctor is not an option sadly😥

I actually brushed my pain off and thought it was growing pains for years, until I was 20! I’m only 21 now, but I’ve realized that my pain is more than that. It’s hard when people don’t believe you. I’m so sorry that’s happening. Just know that on this app we all believe you!!! I hope you get answers soon, and if you ever need to talk message me!

I got told something fairly similar for months, I advocated for myself and got a fourth opinion and finally things started going my way. Hang in there and keep fighting to be heard. It’s tedious but eventually someone with hear you.

the dismissal is real!!! one thing i’ve found (once you turn 18) is that switching to adult doctors, specifically younger ones at university hospitals where they do a lot of research. they tend to be a LOT more willing to dive deep and figure things out. just some food for thought, i know it won’t help now :(. finding answers as to why i was in pain was really the key to understanding how to mitigate my pain tho

I got told that and that the cause was that my chest was too big, told my current chiropractor that and pointed out that it's still painful as a post OP adult and she laughed hysterically at all my previous doctors and chiropractors. Any medical professionals who won't take your pain and concerns seriously are not competent and dont deserve your business. Advocate for getting a new dr and/or going to a competent chiropractor. Have your current doctor write down in your chart that you're seeking a second opinion because they will not test you for anything, if it turns out to be something that causes you more damage because you had to wait to be tested then you have written documentation of your doctor's incompetence/neglect. It's very difficult as a minor, you won't have as much control over anything but it's worth a shot to start the process now that way the gears are already turning and you have some practice, you don't have long until you're an adult anyways.
