My Obgyn and I where talk about endometriosis surgery. I told her I wanted excision surgery. She told me she didn't know what "excision surgery" was and that there is only one type of surgery call ablation surgery. I told her other Obgyn have told me that ablation surgery burns the Endo, makes scar tissue, and comes back in 6 months to a year. Excision cuts the root and last longer. So then my Obgyn told me that's not true excision surgery doesn't exist and that I need ablation surgery. I felt forced to sign for ablation surgery. I'm so confused on what to do.

I got ablation surgery about 5 months ago and it has helped so far! Healing was a bitch (the first couple months) but then I finally started getting some relief and it’s getting better every month. I have no idea if it will continue (I really hope so) but ya it’s worked for me so far! I hope this helps 💕 but that doctor sounds condescending, they obviously know what you mean and they want you to feel stupid. There are many doctors out there, no point choosing someone arrogant/rude, especially if they are unwilling to do the method you prefer. Good luck ❤️

Absolutely do not settle. Go to Nancy’s nook endo education on Facebook and find a new doctor. Ablation is terrible and has absolutely 0 benefit to it. Do not settle

what you do is cancel the operation and find a different gynecologist. that's not how you talk to a patient. ever. excision and ablation are VERY different, but I'd bet money your current doctor is either not qualified to perform excision or she had never heard of excision surgery and got a complex about it
