      @Alley_Fantasia this might be why at times I panic an fall to the ground in agony. I don't mean to fight it but I have to some alters are children so I need to protect them from both natural stuff people go through an from others that would use an abuse us.

      it can definitely cause physical pain as well. trying to block/avoid switches in general is fairly painful. listen to your headmates, please. it can help all of you in the long run.

      It would for sure cause emotional pain because you are disregarding and invalidating as well as ignoring yourself in a sense. They are a part of you and just like /you/ they have wants and needs too. Respecting them is respecting yourself in a way. So be good to your self ❤️

      it wouldn't directly cause emotional/physical pain, but increased amnesia barriers and worse communication can easily lead to that

      Likely you just will increase amnesia barriers, making blackouts more common and communication worse
