I started tampering off it
I guess I am lucky because I tried Xanax which did nothing. I have tried Klonopin for six months 3 x a day then switched to Valium for six months 3x a day, and Ativan 3x a day for six months, and then back to Klonopin for a for a year. I decided I wanted to see how I would feel without them, and haven't taken them in two weeks with no withdrawal symptoms. I have them, but want to be more focused. My issue is Lyrica if I miss a dose about two hours after I start having severe nerve pain throughout my whole body, feel sick, severe anxiety, agitation, and I fell horrible. I guess it shows how drugs can have different effects for different people.
I have been on it for years as well. Half a dose is far too much at one time to wean off of a benzo. I would do some research or speak with your doctor. Benzodiazepines are extremely hard to come off of. I weaned my dose back years ago and even tho I went slow I was completely miserable. Sadly the main withdrawal symptom is anxiety. I would check out the Ashton Manual online for information. Good luck. Feel free to message me if you want to chat.
I don’t take it cept on an as needed basis. Have you tried taking half the dose you have and go from there?
