Is anyone else dealing with Lupus where the main issue is neurological? I just learned only 6% of ppl with Lupus have this. Weird sensations, lack of ability to feel certain sensations, numbness, tingling with heat & cold sensations & burning pain? I've had flares that started 60 years ago with convulsions, now called tonic colonic seizures, recently previously called grand mall seizures while having Shingles at age 14 & coming out of the seizure feeling like one leg was huge & the other leg the size of a toothpick. I didn't tell anyone because I was already in trouble for being sick. The numbness in my feet would come & go, until 24 years ago when it came & never left. With the flare I'm in at present it's fluctuating to the upper part of my calves & fluctuating in the amount of pain.

Yes we are a lot alike! I've been called complicated too! The Lord is good and helps me up when I'm down. I'm working toward my next 4 surgeries. I've got 17 under the bridge. These next 4 ate going to really help a lot of things.

yea, I'm 23 and older than both my parents. life just happens that way sometimes. at least you look like you belong in every waiting room you're ever in, it's a weird experience being 40+ years younger than everyone else at the cardiologist's office 😂

My Dr thinks I’m a mess too! All the same conditions as most who chimed in! I’m 68 and have been through the gauntlet these past 10 years! I depend on Hydrocodone for my bad days, Lyrica for night time restless body and haven’t figured out what to do about my RA . It has been doing a number on my right hands fingers, so I’m wondering what gets deformed next? You know, I’m grateful for my journey and always get my mind off of me as fast as possible!! Not fun tho!! It is nice to hear from all of you and to know we are all alike!!!?? Have you ever wondered were this Fibromyalgia originated from???
@Marjo oh yes. I often wonder is from something we were given as kids or we ate as kids or played on or with. That's the big research that needs to happen. Like how do you feel great go to bed and bam pain every where every day..when my fibromyalgia act up I can't even be touched feels like needles sticking me. My ex use to think I was crazy when I would tell him he was hurting me when he would give me a rub. Took years for someone to officially say ot was fibromyalgia. I also think all these late diagnosis cause many of more problems. But we are here now what can we do about it now.

I couldn't get through this without him. Family doesn't check on me or see 8f he needs a break. Not even my sibling. Buy I'm not surprised when I was taking care of my mother and helping with my granny it was the same way. After I took my oldest brother in again no help but people sat call me I'm there. Shidd.☹🤦🏾♀️😔
I'm 49 and I too deal with a lot oa ra interstitial lung disease, asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, Fibromyalgia, ra bad in my lumber area,, and two bad knees. They keep testing me for lupus but all my test come back negative they can't pin point why my protein levels are up scans cam back all clear. I'm classified as complicated as well. In spite of all this I'm grateful for my life. My son does all the leg work for me and what I can get done I do slowly but I get it done. I'm praying for you all.

I'm 67, after 30 years of going to multiple doctors I can now say some of my problems. First I am ADHD. Found out when I was in my 40's, I also have major anxiety problems. I have Sjogren Syndrome, it has taken my teeth, and is working on my eyes, liver, and bones. I have spastic Cerebral Palsy, so I have tics and spasms throughout my body. And I have Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, asthma, Anemia, high blood pressure, etc. I live my life every day for my God. Due to the wonderful doctors he sent me to, my back has been corrected, and both my knees are replaced. Gradually, I am improving.
I do as well but I am 45. But I am thankful for the health I do have. :)
I understand too. I'm 70 and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 24 years ago. Have osteoarthritis in my back. Am allergic to opiates so can only take Aleve and medical marijuana. Cannot take Neurontin (gabapentin) anymore so neuropathy of hands and feet is worse, numbness, tingling, sometimes soles of feet feel like they're on fire. I mostly just live with it. I seldom go anywhere now, except for doctor appointments. Thankfully, I have a healthy husband who understands. He does all the chores and shopping. Without his support, I would be much worse off. Take care and know that many of us here understand and relate. You are not alone. 💖
Yes the top of my feet hurt. I'm 54/and feel hepless😥
Hello...I'm 65 also..with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis with injections and surgeries, asthma that puts me in the hospital every time its activated..my pain is well controlled for now but, my fatigue is overwhelming..and the neuropathy in my feet is worsening..no pain..just feels like I have very thick socks on...I am on the highest dose of neurontin...my anxiety is bad right now... I sympathize with you...
I'm the same but I'm 52. I just got out of the hospital from a break. It was do to being taken off a medication and life in general. Once I was put back on the medicine I was fine and could handle what was going on. I hate that a drug can control me like that.
I totally understand. I have fibro lupus oa ra ddd ridiculopothy PTSD depression anxiety. So as my Dr loves to tell me. "I'm complicated".
