My sugar went low today while I was on the cash register at work and one of my co-workers was up front with me helping a customer. It was either I get a candy bar immediately and eat it in front of the customers or I start passing out so I took a candy bar and started eating it and my co-worker got upset and I said “it’s your choice. You can either have me eating in front of the customers until you are done helping them and can cover register so I can go back and finish my candy bar or I stand here and pass out in front of everyone. You choose.” She just told me to go back and eat my candy bar. I swear some people don’t understand diabetes and the affect it really has on you and how it makes you feel not only physically, but emotionally as well. I lash out in anger at my boyfriend and others when my sugar goes low too. It’s terrible the affect it has on you. I’m sorry you had to go through that at work. 💕
