hey, I just found Alike and am wondering if anyone else is dealing with large long-lasting goiters in the thyroid. I've had a goiter that's made Dr's nervous sine 2019, and been to an endocrinologist and an ent and neither one has helped.
I’m a little confused. I had hashimotos which developed into hypothyroidism and now my thyroid is completely nonfunctional. Is that what the doctor is afraid of?
I actually don't know 100% when Dr's found out I had hashimotos since no one told me until 2019 after my goiter had developed.
What he told me was he didn't wanna do the surgery because he was worried about cutting through scar tissue.
I have no idea, I was able to get into a new endo starting March so hopefully they will help. I'm already on the meds the remainder of my life anyway, might as well get some relief.
