Does anyone in this group have the oral version of lichen planus (OLP), particularly the erosive kind? I've had erosive OLP since December 2021 and part of my gum has receded a few millimeters. Recently, it's become red, inflamed, and painful even when I'm not consuming anything. The periodontist prescribed magic mouthwash, which I'm about to start using, but I wanted to reach out and see if there were any natural remedies that may have helped others halt their gum recession. I don't want to use oral steroids if there are other options.

Also I learned that if you can make your own with benedryl, Mylanta and liquid lidocaine you can get from the dentist

The magic mouthwash works but it’s expensive. I use it for flares as well as a steroid mouthwash. Hope this helps.
