I’ve had a super shitty week. I started doing more of my job since training is done and was barely eating. the first three days of the week, I felt extremely tired, my migraines were much more severe than they usually are and I could hardly walk. I assumed for my migraine pain, it was my blood stabilizer so I stopped taking that and then forgot about propranolol so I ended up going to the ER on Thursday. I was really shaky and even tripping when a nurse was walking me to the bathroom. my head felt really intense kinda like a tension headache but felt stronger. I found out that m electrolytes were down and they gave me liquid IV and something for nausea. does anyone do liquid IV? is it super expensive, does it help? I try to do Gatorade but my other illnesses don’t like sugar so I try to avoid that. I can’t do salt packs because they make me sick so I have to physically dump salt out and eat it or use it on pizza rolls 😂 I don’t ever want to feel like this again

LilPotsie: Amazon actually has a variety pack! I’ve thought about getting it but got just got a couple strawberry ones for now. I didn’t want to spend too much in case I didn’t enjoy them

I personally love strawberry flavour! And you’re not dumb! It’s a simple confusion, I’ve done it too!

sam_023: the strawberry is what I have in my cart. I’ve never done it before but I’ve been so dizzy more often and close to falling when I just do my night routine which is checking to make sure door is locked 1,713 times 😂 I do go to my pots clinic within a week but I had that scare this week and feel like I need to do more for my body. I don’t want to feel that way again. do you have the bet flavor or does it just depend who you are? I don’t like grape but strawberries are my favorite fruit and I tend to go to that one for anything fruit flavored

LilPotsie: I have strawberry in my cart but I don’t want to end up with a terrible flavor. I’ve heard some of the flavors have a bad after taste

UnluckyUnicorn: I’m dumb omg so I looked it up yesterday before seeing this and realized that it was the brand. I did see a lot of different flavors so I think I’ll try that. thank you 😅

I highly recommend liquid IV. It got me through nursing school. I'm so sorry to hear about your rough week. Liquid IV is pricey but other electrolyte drinks did nothing for me. So I look at liquid IV as a prescription because it works that well. I also have to dump tons of salt on food because I can't tolerate otherwise. There is a dysautonomia code on reddit to get 30% off. I order mine in bulk from the website and use that code. It's about a dollar a stick that way. Every morning I have one-its like a morning coffee to me😅. On flare days I will have two or three. On bad days I can be on the floor from falling multiple times and much better within 30 minutes of drinking one. I do not like the lemon lime at all- one of my meds alters my taste buds, but I love the strawberry, cherry, and passion fruit. I hope this helps and you recover back to baseline soon.

I’ve definitely gone through similar weeks. As far as I know Liquid IV is the brand. I highly recommend it. They have different flavours and packets that do different things like one is tangerine and it has vitamin C in addition to electrolytes. You’re not alone! I’m glad you’re doing better!

UnluckyUnicorn: it’s okay. my body has been going through the ringer this week. felt like I was dying honestly 😂 I’m thinking about doing some liquid IV because after my hospital trip, my body seems to be doing better. is there a brand you do? I’m so glad I’m not the only one with salt. everyone is always like “do salt packets! they help!” they make me feel physically sick and I’ve been close to throwing up, just like I do with herbal tea 😭

I love Liquid IV! That’s the one I use because my body also hates sugary beverages. When I buy it it’s $30 for 30 when not on sale. The one I use is a hydration multiplier as well as electrolytes and I notice a difference when I don’t drink it. I have to do the same thing with salt! I’m sorry about your week!
