I already had a job. And I was reduced to part-time because I have bipolar one and I had a psychotic episode that lasted six or seven months the people that were taking care of me for can only put me on Social Security disability because of my mental state at the time because I wouldn't have known how to even begin to apply. Even in my right mind LOL my mental health is well under control now. But my physical health is a complete mess and I have a few diagnosis but chronic fatigue syndrome the one that no one takes seriously is the one that really is the most life disruptive life shrinking interfering disorder of any that I have I'm like a complete different person I can barely take care of myself now it's like I have a psychotic episode but it's not. I can barely keep myself in my house clean. I'm trying struggling to keep my job. It was already a part-time fortunately when this happened to me two and a half years ago. It was like a day and night shift after I got really sick I never got better. They found out I have rheumatoid arthritis and that helps some they gave me iron infusions and that helps some. They corrected some other diagnosis and that helped some. At one point I almost felt like myself 60% better and it has just been getting worse and worse and worse. Like the nurse said I struggle my way through it should not lose what I already had when started. And I'm trying to start working with someone I'm not sure who to help me get my mental health disability to include my physical conditions before I become just in case I become unable to work even part-time before we find a better solution for what's going on with me. I'm doing my damnedest not to lose my job. Unfortunately chronic fatigue syndrome is such a stigmatized disorder. Once you get that label they kind of stopped looking for anything underneath. It's a real struggle. It seems like everyone here kind of started from where they were when they got sick with what they had and tried to keep it or tried to sell things from home. I wish you the best of luckā¤ļøāœ‹

I have often thought about starting my own businessā€¦ Iā€™m full of ideas but then my health and schedule is full of dr appointments so it gets pushed asideā€¦ It will happen though, one day. When it does, I will make sure it benefits us (chronic sufferers) in some way. šŸ’œ

I donā€™t know. I tried to start a business but regressed to my to do list including brush hair and teeth. Not sure how to get disability for long COVID/cfs because there are no bio markers. Iā€™m sorry it sucks šŸ˜Ÿ

Due to my multiple Chronic Diagnosed ailments, I was finally approved for disability after about a year and a half.

Iā€™m a full time nurse and itā€™s ROUGH. Iā€™m lucky enough to have my service dog with me. My physical conditions are still mild and fairly well controlled with medications. My mental health is awful and thatā€™s EXHAUSTING. I just keep pushing through. Iā€™m sure someday Iā€™ll just crack.

I am still trying to figure out how to. The only thing I am able to tolerate (on good days) is making and selling jewelry. It definitely does not provide enough to get by. I am im The process of re-applying for disability but that is such a long and difficult process.
