I don’t know what I would do without my husband. With everything that I’m dealing with medically and mentally he definitely keeps me as grounded as possible given the situation with my health! But I would say definitely had times hanging on by a thread!
I listen to music as often as I possibly can, it helps me manage the severity. I also do breathing exercises when I feel my anxiety getting extra bad and it helps me keep from having a full on anxiety attack and hyperventilating
I do lots of deep breathing and self reassurance, it started as a thing I did with doubt and shame when no one could see me crumble but, it started working. The more I did it, the more I believed and trusted it. It gets better when you're able to find the source of that anxiety and build the reassurance around that, even if you're just having anxiety you can't explain. You kinda have to tell yourself it's ok to feel like this cause it is what it is and its ok, some of us just don't believe it at first.
Coping is not easy at all ... I'm trying to meet with my psychologist on a weekly basis (even during periods when I feel good). In addition, I practice yoga, mindfulness and meditation several times a week. Thanks to these exercises I learned breathing and calming techniques that help me during the day.
