Hi there! I just found this app today and wanted to try it out. The thought of perhaps finding an answer to my decades long struggle with chronic pain is what motivated me to sign into Alike. We’ve never been able to discover the cause of my pain in spite of a month long trip to the Cleveland Clinic and countless other tests and medications. My heart goes out to all of you who are suffering as I am. My first question is what is causing your pain and could it also be the cause of mine?

My cronic pain, I believe started in my late 20's with Endometriosis, I messed up my R. Shoulder at 29, had a hysterectomy at 32, continued with the shoulder, had 3 surgeries on it, at 55 blew out L5 & S1 & I have degenerative discs from T12 all the to the sacrum. Now I have back pain 24/7. And the shoulder still hurts most of the time.

I went to the University of Michigan a few years back and from what they said, my fibromyalgia is caused by an increased number of pain receptors in the blood vessels. They had done research to prove it.
