Is it safe for a 68-year-old to take Ativan?

I fought to not take it, I'm 41. But it was honestly the only thing that worked till my meds started working. I dont regret it now. I regret not taking it sooner. I'm coming off of it now & doing fine. Biggest risk is addiction & withdrawal, but its not like opiates where you will always need more. Once you find your dose it will likely stay the same. Don't white knuckle through, you don't deserve to feel awful.
