As wierd as this will sound, eggs for breakfast and B vitamins (you can get them at the 99 cent store) help a lot. Bananas, chocolate, and almonds are also helpful and reasonably easy to fit into your diet on a budget... Other than that, tapping (look up Brad Yates, he's awesome and his videos are free), trauma release exercises (you can find DIY info online), listening to music, bubble baths- use dish soap if you can't get bubble bath solution, and any form of self care can help (PM me if you want to discuss it more). Also, many churches offer counseling for free through the pastor or other members and finding or starting a peer Support Group can help... and mindfulness, Journaling (can even be done on napkins if needed)... a free app called Happify... there's lots of stuff out there. You can do this!

When I wasn’t in therapy or medication, spending times with friends or family really helped me,being surrounded by positive and uplifting people helps and if you can find any hobbies that won’t require a lot of effort or money. Wishing you lots of luck from one person with depression to another
