I agree that it’s v helpful to explain! Putting that on the table so that all parties can be aware of it is great. In addition to that I like ye olde “opposite action” skill. It,,, takes kind of a lot of practice to force yourself to do something totally opposite of what your urge is but honestly it’s helped a lot for me. I’m dating someone and I started getting those fear of abandonment type thoughts and I was getting all ready to ghost but like I made myself text her and ask her on a date and she was thrilled and that was v affirming.

It’s helped my by explaining how it feels to other people which i understand is super hard to do but even analogies help when explaining! mostly honesty
