How much progress have you made since your diagnosis? What are you most proud of that you’ve achieved?

I was able to get off the lithium with abilify. In fact, I am doing okay with Cymbalta and abilify shots and breakthrough pills. I lost 40lbs by getting off the other meds.

I haven't gone to the psych hospital since 2019, I've decreased my lithium from 450 twice a day to 300 once a day. Still taking cymbalta and zyprexa and syntheroid though. I am relatively stable.

I have had a second surgery, learned about a bunch of other diagnoses, and gotten pain wise to a much better place. Been a wild ride, but I’m so proud of myself for never giving up 💕

One step forward two steps back for me. Been to hospitals so many times. I’m gonna try harder now. To truly stay well. I feel as if I don’t even know how to be an adult

@Kate1985 everyone struggles to feel like an adult at times. This is doubly so with multiple hospitalizations and well meaning doctors and family. Even the struggle to get the right diagnosis is an uphill battle. Just know that you have a support system and many people who understand.

Still struggling, but I haven't given up yet.

@Tawneee take one day at a time. Remember to breathe. It does get easier to manage with the right types of support

I have discovered a great mental health team and good meds. Support is crucial to dealing with the day to day.
