So I have a follow-up appointment with my doctor on Friday and they are more than likely going to raise my dosage of cymbalta. I'm also planning on asking them if they can recommend some fibromyalgia specific workouts for home. Is there anyone else who is overweight and wanting to lose weight but suffering because of fibro and finding it hard to exercise?

I know diet is extremely personal and I don’t want to project, but I have had success losing weight gently and slowly and keeping it off with intermittent fasting. I just eat one less meal a day, and eat until I’m full in a specific 12 hr window. I think it’s gentle enough to try for folks struggling to lose any weight, but do consult a dr if you’re taking medications or making other changes concurrently!

Tons of people with fibromyalgia find aquafit to be a great, low intensity work out that is gentle on the joints!

I struggle to get to the gym due to aches and pains and lack of motivation. But I always feel so much better after I go, so I try to keep that in mind. Stretching, yoga, recumbent bike, & rowing machine are what I stick to on my bad days. I’m looking forward to warmer weather so I can do more water workouts, though!

I am over weight and definitely suggest water exercise if you have access. I also try to work on my diet along with stretching and floor core work. My knees can't handle jogging just yet and it's been snowing alot lately here.
