Chris here. I've googled everything I can think of to find out what's going on with my heart. It started with several days of very rapid pulse every time I stood up, that would always return to normal when I sat down. Then, I would have episodes when it would go up over 150 BPM and then even after I sat down would only return to around 130, staying there for several minutes before eventually dropping below 100. It got to the point that I was afraid to get off the couch. It's always much worse in the morning and gets better by the end of the day. So, I thought I had POTS but I only get mildly dizzy and not all the time. I don't get short of breath. If I didn't feel the slight flutter in my chest, I would have no idea my heart is beating so fast. I've switched antidepressants, started taking supplements, and doing exercises that are supposed to stimulate the vagus nerve and it all seems to be helping. But, now my heart rate drops below 60 quite a bit, which seems a little slow to me. It's almost like it can't settle on a normal rhythm. It's either inappropriately fast or slow for whichever activity I'm engaged in. Is it SVT? ITS? POTS? Sick sinus tachycardic-bradycardic syndrome. Some other autonomic nervous dysfunction. Enough acronyms to drive one crazy. I do also have major anxiety. But, this is causing more anxiety. The anxiety isn't causing this. Thanks to anyone who read this far.
