I thought I was getting better, but it's happening again... I'm scared I'll wake up tomorrow and my parents will be dead, or anyone else in my family. I don't want them to die.

      @imaginativewriter I did pray, I'm feeling okay after talking with someone

      I get worried my wife will suddenly go. I prepare myself for it and that's how I feel better.

      Have you tried praying? (Idk if that helps you but it helps me) just a little reassurance to God that you wish that they’re safe :)

      this sounds like an ocd symptom

        @finnigan ocd? I thought it might have to do with anxiety or BPD. I'll have to look into it

          @Daniel.8572 look into it! it sounds like an intrusive thought to me because this anxiety is a little irrational thinking

      Why would they suddenly be dead? That’s very unlikely, unless there’s something you haven’t mentioned

        @Cyprus87 are you there .?

        @Cyprus87 you know anybody could die at any time, so I just get afraid of that.

          @Daniel.8572 I understand that. That’s called catastrophizing, and I can relate because I suffer from anxiety. I used to feel like if my parents were out too late or if they didn’t reply to my texts for a while that something had happened. It can help to think of the event and ask yourself what the probably of that actually happening is. Another good strategy to calm the anxiety is to become mindful and think of things you can see, hear, smell, and touch.
