I had my first session of Trauma therapy today and I'm feeling a mix of emotions.. im glad that I went, and proud that I pushed through the anxiety.. but I'm struggling with some unwanted memories flooding in, and I'm scared of what's to come, knowing that I'm going to have to talk about everything that's happened.. Feeling very alone with it all right now..

I'm proud of you that you went. I understand how scary it is, but you're not alone! This, too, will pass.

Talking about trauma can be so exhausting, it almost feels like more trauma. It helps a lot over time but it's hard to get started. Please take time for rest and things that make you happy until you get your strength back, and try not to judge yourself for feeling sad or worn out šŸ’š

I understand how terrifying starting trauma therapy is. When I started, I felt awful for several days. But it gets easier, and if it gets really hard I encourage you to communicate that with your therapist and you can take it slower. Proud of you!! Feel free to dm me if you need to talk to someone.
