I’m currently on Prozac, but tried many different medications. What medications seem to work best on you?

i tried prozac and for me it didn’t help at all. a year later and now i’m on zoloft and it has helped me a lot, just overtime it starts to wear off and i need to get the dose lifted.

Yes I had a withdraw the pharmacy couldn't find any for almost a week the withdraw is a horrible but so far it works for anxiety still a little unbalanced cuz I have schizophrenia too and I'm not treated for that I'm looking into alternate treatments🤗

I have been on Celexa, Prozac, and now Zoloft. I have been on Zoloft for the longest (7 years) and I have actually been able to stop other meds. There is a lab test that some doctors do that can help pinpoint what family of medication will be most likely to help, so if you want a new medicine I would maybe ask your doctor about the test

Cymbalta (generic) seems to work well for me. I also have been on Prozac (didn't help), Lexapro (worked for a year then had to up my dose and it made me very apathetic), Buspar (made me dizzy), Hydroxyzine (made me fall asleep), and Vybrid (gave me nausea and stomaches).

I was on Prozac but it didn’t work for me so my doctor switched me to Celexa and I feel great!

For me, Cymbalta worked best, but only actual name-brand Cymbalta. As soon as my insurance stopped covering the name brand, I started taking generic and it did not work, or at least didn’t work at the same dosage. That was 7 years ago and I haven’t been the same since. I’m on Effexor now (generic) and I’d say it has me at about 70% of where I was when I was on name-brand Cymbalta. I’m interested in trying Prozac b/c I have an Aunt who’s been on it for 35 years and swears by it.
