I’m struggling more and more with every day, week and month that passes. I truly hardly have the energy to get a few personal tasks done and am not managing to get much, if any, work done at all most days. For context, I have ADHD, high blood pressure (on medication for it), sleep apnea, periodic migraines and fibromyalgia. I also recently healed from de quervain’s tenosynovitis. For months, if not over a year, my ongoing pain and exhaustion levels have been worsening. At this point, I’m using all of the energy I have been failing to do the number of hours I need to for work. I also feel like passing out (lightheaded, sometimes dizzy, rapid heartbeat). I’m trying to understand what’s happening and somehow find the resources as to stay afloat… I know that fibromyalgia can intensify sometimes. Does it make sense for it to do it for up to a year? I really don’t know how to get ahead of this.

      If you haven't had your sleep apnea checked for a while, that may be contributing. I know I've had to bump up my pressure a couple times and that made a big difference. It sounds like you're maybe having difficult emotions, I know I have a lot of frustration with my fibro. It gets really bad on mentally bad days. Your body can't distinguish between mental and physical pain, nor does it know if something did happen, will happen or is happening. It sucks so much, you have to give yourself a lot of grace because being frustrated with how much pain you're in or how behind you are means you set yourself back even more. I've had even the last 6 weeks get significantly worse, so a year can absolutely have worsening symptoms. A recommendation my rheum gave was gentle exercise, like yoga or tai chi. Sometimes little exercises can help you be more energized. I found pottery is also good because you have to brace and stabilize. I would see if more water maybe helps with the dizziness, if not maybe ask your doctor if they can check out your blood pressure and heart rate. Does it change if you stand/sit/lay? If so, that may not be standard high blood pressure. I hope things improve for you soon.
