I can’t control my impulses. I literally have enough impulse control to still go to work and not run away somewhere far away. But that’s where the line ends. Sex, alcohol, weed ? Over indulging to put it lightly. I just can’t get enough of anything. I would tell myself i was doing better in at least one parameter in the sense that i was still binge drinking but not chugging vodka anymore… I’ve got 1k on my credit card, cannot stop spending money despite having low living costs. I’m insatiable and nothing is ever enough.

Do you have a regular med provider, and have you talked with them about this? You may want to consider a medication adjustment or even a change. Those impulses may be a sign of mania or hypomania, and a med adjustment may help to stabilize you. I have a history with impulse control myself. When I'm not stable, feeling manic or hypomanic, I have a history of hypersexuality, overindulgence, and risky behavior. I have been on a good medication regimen for a few years now and have experienced the most stability ever in my life. Coping skills and regular counseling is important as well, but medication management is a must with bipolar disorder and can make a world of difference. If you'd like to talk, let me know, k? I wish you the best in your life.😁

I totally understand. I'm manic right now and all I want to do is have intense sex and do drugs (like something hard even though I've literally never done drugs before)

Its the same for me, kind of. The sex part isnt the same. Im too shy to approach anyone. I have walked off so many great jobs. For no reason, other than whatever is going on in my head. For 30 years I've been told it gets better. Im so tired of being alive.

Feel for you. I wish I had good advice, but it's been years I've been working on slowly controlling my impulses. Sometimes I feel like I have no control over my actions either. It's tough. You're not alone 💕
