My HS is solely located in my groin and I’ve had to stop shaving because of it, which has caused some increase in my already-present body image issues. Any tips?

Hi ! My dermatologist told me to invest in bump razors. They dont cut as well as regular razors but I dont get as irritated down there as I used to. Also, wear lose clothing and under garments. And dont feel weird if you need to carry some flushable wipes if you feel sweaty. Wipe those areas and pat yourself dry with a dry paper and use a bit of medicated powder.

Moisture wicking clothing helps me a ton. Things like compression shorts keep things dry and frictionless. I also can’t shave so using trimmers are awesome.

@Soskae are there any trimmers and/or compression shorts you recommend?

@robynhood3 the brand of compression shorts don’t really have any difference in my experience just make sure they fit correctly. Trimmers specifically for pubic hair tend to cut without pulling the hair. You can also use scissors to keep it short if the trimmers all cause irritation.
