My Dr prescribed me Elavil ( antidepressant) for my Ic. Does this help anyone ? What was your experience ? What medicine do you guys use? My symptoms are urinary urgency and frequency. Thanks!

It helped me a lot when I started treatment. Brought everything from a 7pain down to 2-3 pain on a regular basis. I took it with aloe Vera and bladder-q for several years. I did gradually gain weight on it though and it makes you sleepy sometimes.

It helped me somewhat, but it made me heart rate increase a lot! I don’t think it’s a super common side effect but something to be mindful of!
